Thanks for the gift! Beautiful ship!!! Hoping this one isn't a limited edition. Still though - THANK YOU! Happy Holidays! EVE is a great game.
Also - please to all the negative nancy's out there...yes it will be pretty much functionless (most likely) but it is like the old saying goes - "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Someone worked really hard on this ship and yes EVE has other issues but new ships are never a bad thing even if they do just sit in your hangar.
Personally though - I think this thing will be somehow useful in hacking the cans for the Supercarrier BPC. So bring your REP gangs with you to the Sansha sites kiddies, because I bet a million isk this ship will be the key to getting it. Just a thought before you go bad mouthing it more.
Yes the ship looks fine and interesting. Fitting for a hacking ship. I'll still look the gift horse in the mount since CCP themselves make a huge deal about how hard and time consuming it is to make new ships for the game or talk about how new ships from the next design a ship contest can't likely be added before 2012, because the art teams have so much to do. This is why I want every hull added to the game to have some kind of real function and people need to be able to make more. It means new designs that are only used for hangar ornaments are in fact bad.
Now on to the said function. Are you seriously suggesting this will be mandatory to getting the BPC from a downed sansha SC drop? That would turn this ship from a "meh, nothing special but nice" to epic fail. Is one player supposed to sit in this and just wait doing nothing while the rest of the team kills the SC and enjoys a good fight? That would be pretty horrible gamedesign. If it only does the hacking a bit better than a regular combat ship fitted for hacking, it remains useless, since those hacking sites are likely heavy combat areas. While fitted for hacking it can't fit guns, propulsion modules or a cloak, so it is just a killmail waiting to happen, that also provides a miserable gameplay experience to the poor sap tricked in to flying it. If anything your idea just provides even greater reasons for badmouthing it in it's current implementation.
